Welcome to my latest post about some of the most delicious Chinese food recipes I have come across. As you know, Chinese cuisine has a rich history and is well-loved around the world. Today, I want to share two of my favorite recipes that I recently discovered. These recipes have been tried and tested by my family and everyone absolutely loved them.

Easy Asian Crispy Honey Chicken

Easy Asian Crispy Honey Chicken

If you love Chinese food, you must have tried honey chicken at least once in your life. This recipe takes it up a notch by adding a crispy coating that makes it even more delicious. Here’s how to make it:

  • 1 lb boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil

In a bowl, mix the egg white, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken pieces with the mixture and set aside. Heat the oil in a pan and add the chicken pieces. Cook for around 5-7 minutes until they are crispy on the outside. In a separate bowl, mix together some honey and soy sauce. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the honey and soy sauce mixture over the chicken and cook for another couple of minutes. Your Easy Asian Crispy Honey Chicken is ready! Serve hot with some veggies and rice.

Chinese Braised Chicken with Chestnuts

If you’re looking for a hearty and healthy Chinese recipe, this one is perfect. It’s great for a cold evening and can be made in a single pot. Here’s what you need:

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese five spice powder
  • 1 cup chestnuts, peeled
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Start by heating some oil in a pot. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger and cook until the onions are translucent. Add the chicken thighs and cook until they are browned on all sides. Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and Chinese five spice powder. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for around 30 minutes. Add the chestnuts and cook for another 10 minutes. Your Chinese Braised Chicken with Chestnuts is ready! Garnish with some sliced green onions and serve hot with some rice.
